We’re on a kick cooking with our skillets lately. It’s like camp cooking but in the comfortable of my own kitchen! Nevertheless, we are building our camping recipe repertoire for when the weather gets warmer, and we love to cook our camp meals in cast iron skillets.

I think I can say with much certainty that well will be making these Blueberry Dutch Baby Pancake from Avery Cooks while out in the field! In fact, we may need to make two.
I served this dish up Christmas morning and it was a huge hit. Everybody wanted seconds! It was so simple to whip up, which was one of the main reasons we had it Christmas morning – I didn’t want to spend a ton of time in the kitchen. We did use fresh blueberries (the recipe calls for frozen) and lessened the cooking time by a couple of minutes.

I love these so much!! We had an apple version last Saturday and it was super yummy too! I think they are soooo much easier than pancakes. :)
