LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party

Throw an epic LEGO Star Wars birthday party using these out of this world party ideas.

Star Wars Galaxys Edge

I have included a list of supplies at the end of the post.
LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party
Over the weekend we celebrated my oldest son turning 7!

I always let the boys select their party themes, and this time it was ALL about the LEGO Star Wars!

Thank goodness there is a new Star Wars movie coming out.

It made finding supplies and party ideas so much simpler!

You can find the Star Wars birthday invitation here.

Above you can see our big table spread.

I’ll go into further detail in a bit, but our main attraction is the Death Star birthday cake and my son’s LEGO AT-AT Walker.

I also designed LEGO Star Wars characters with my Silhouette software (similar to these LEGO Superhero characters) and cut them out to use in the decor.

LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party light-sabers
Our little guests were welcomed to the party with a basket full of homemade light sabers!

These were SO easy and fun to make out of pool noodles.

We simply cut them in half with a box cutter then applied 3 rows of chrome metallic Duck Tape around one end.

I topped it off with some black Duck Tape for decoration.

These were easily the most popular item at the party!

And we used them as party favors so all the kids got to take one home.

LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party zipline
Beside the light saber battles, we rented laser guns for the kids to play in our backyard.

It was so fun! They thought they were stormtroopers.

My husband also set up a homemade zipline a couple of weeks back and all of the kids were able to ride.

It was such a hit!

LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party Death Star birthday cake
Back inside, I just have to show off the Death Star cake!

I shared the recipe for this chocolate pound cake yesterday.

It was absolutely delicious!

And how about that round cake?? I was so amazed that it turned out!

You can get all the details on that in the recipe post.

I used the Wilton Sugar Sheets in black to decorate the Death Star.

LEGO Anakin Skywalker and LEGO Obi Win Kenobi are battling it out on top of the cake.

The black sheet cake is also the chocolate pound cake.

Both cakes are iced with buttercream.

The sheet cake has silver cake sprinkles to symbolize stars in space.

LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party table
For plates, napkins, and silverware I opted to purchase half in black and half in green.

I then allowed our party guests to choose their side, the Force or the Dark Side.

Surprisingly, more green plates were used!

LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party snacks
We also served up Imperial Pizza, light saber fruit skewers, my Stormtrooper Snacks mixed with plain pretzels, Star Wars Cheez-Its, and Vader-Ade.

And the little blue rocks scattered on the table are sugar cubes from a candy store that we passed off as Holocrons.

I also purchased a pack of Star Wars molds (affiliate link) and used them to make chocolates (SUPER easy!).

They were a big hit, and I already have requests to loan out the molds!

The molds made Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Hans Solo in Carbonite, Tie-Fighters, R2D2, and the Millennium Falcon.

Here is a better look at the LEGO Star Wars characters I created with cardstock.

They even come with their accessories!

LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party goodie bags
I also attached the characters heads to the goodies bags.

All in all we had a great time and the LEGO Star Wars Birthday party was a big hit!

The weather was unbelievably nice, only in the 70’s, sunny, and a tad windy.

And the birthday boy had a BLAST!

In the end, that’s all that really matters.

What an adorable party!! What's funny is I think my husband would enjoy one like this, more than our son! :) Thank you for sharing with us at the #HomeMattersParty

Most impressive party. It looks like the boys had so much fun. I have one question. What kind of chocolate did you use for the molds?

Thanks, Rebecca! Just melting chocolates. White and dark chocolate (the dark chocolate tasted AMAZING!).
